Indiana Soccer has issued the following statement:
The 3/13/2020 update announced the suspension of league and cup activities and the strong recommendation to suspend soccer practices and play through April 2nd. The subsequent need for prolonged social distancing prompts Indiana Soccer to extend this suspension through April 15, 2020. Your state office staff remains available via email or phone as they continue working remotely. Additional updates will be distributed should more information become available.
In addition to the Indiana Soccer’s suspension of activities through April 15th we feel that it is important to align with Indiana Schools who are scheduled to reopen on May 4th.
To align with both Indiana Soccer and Indiana schools Batesville Soccer Club will continue the suspension of all practice and play until May 4, 2020.
At this point we have not cancelled the Spring rec season. This will likely change if local Indiana schools are not reopened on May 4th, but we want to keep the door open to have a Spring season if possible. We are looking at several different approaches to play the full season if we are able to resume activities in May. We will provide another update in April that will include FAQs.
We will continue to monitor the actions and guidance of our community schools and healthcare organizations to align with local recommendations beyond these actions.
The safety of our club members and community is our highest priority. Rest assured we will take necessary actions based on public health and safety during these challenging times.
Please stay healthy and well.
